Naturally Straight Hair On Top Curly Underneath

My daughter has this issue super wavy hair underneath a layer of straight hair on top.

Naturally straight hair on top curly underneath. It looks very odd when they lay flat over my wavy hair underneath. My waves are coming along nicely however the sections of hair on the top of my head are straight. This is the hairstyle that naturally brings with the hair straight up smoothly the bottom of the trousers in the face to create a gentle modern. It s not uncommon to see hair which is relatively straight on top but with strong kinks underneath or maybe an erratic and frizzy surface hiding much smoother hair underneath.

What i mean by curly on bottom and straight on top is underneath my hair by my ears and nape of my neck my hair is very curly but from the middle of my head up to the top all the hair is straight. Likewise cut hair shorter in front if it is straighter than the hair in the back. My solution so far is to pin it back to a half up half down style which reveals my curls underneath. My hair is med length long layers with the top straight and looks weighed down middle start to see some waves and looks frizzy underneath the waves are tighter some super curly spots then right at the nape on both sides i have 2 crazy kinky curled spots about 2 if i have a pony tail and 6 long when flatted.

However if this does not work cut the straight hair underneath shorter than the top outer layer. Have you had more luck than caitlin at finding the beauty prods that will enhance your hair for even curls all over. You could try using those curl tubes from sallys i forget what they re called but they re no heat curlers. I love how the curls look but it s masked by the top layer. Mainly the strands located about 1 inch across on either side of my part. A pixie cut also reduces the hair s weight making it easier to style with curling. I have beautiful but flat 3a curls on my upper canopy of hair but straight 2b hair underneath.

Maybe go to a hair salon and ask for a cut that makes the curls look more. She is only 5 though so i don t do anything to encourage the top to be wavy and just let it be. Is there any way to make all of my hair look like this naturally. That straight hair hangs out from beneath my curls making my hair mismatched and just plain ugly.

Because i dont think theres a way to make all the hair the same. Diffusers can bring definition to softer coils but for tight curls twisting your hair while still damp and allowing it to dry naturally is best. I had very curly wurly hair when i was at a very young age but then it waves out as it grew and as i was straightening and styling it to death as a teenager. Do you have hair that s curly on the top and straight underneath or vice versa.
